we recently completed the sound design for a short film, entitled ‘the craftsman’, which was entered in the 2010 philips cinema ‘parallel lines’ competition. written and directed by a talented team of up and coming london-based filmmakers - neil ingall, phil dunlop and julian mccrea - it was a fantastic project and an honor for us to take part!
additionally, we are very happy to announce that the film has been voted one of the top 10 entries by a panel of judges from ridley scott associates, bafta and philips, and will now move on to the next round of the contest! audio is a big part of the judging criteria, so it’s quite a compliment to be given such accolades in the midst of so many great submissions.

a huge, and very deserved, congratulations to the team behind the magnificent documentary, ‘william s. burroughs - a man within’. it was announced today that the film will be distributed by oscilloscope laboratories in new york, founded by adam yauch of the beastie boys.
the project will make its theatrical debut in the fall, followed by dvd and digital releases. television gets its share of ‘the godfather of punk’ as part of the 2010-11 season of the emmy-award winning pbs series ‘independent lens’.
with never-before-seen footage and interviews from his closet friends and collaborators, including iggy pop, gus van sant, genesis p-orridge, david croenenberg, laurie anderson and more - plus original music from thurston moore, lee ranaldo and patti and jesse smith - this should be a great watch for anyone even remotely interested in one of the most fascinating and inspiring personas of the last century.
as we put on the finishing touches, i’d like to say it has been a real treat working with the entire crew. shout-outs to director yony leyser for his ambitious vision and editorial/production house bulletproof film for bringing it all together.
