oh hi there.. it’s been a while, eh? that’s what happens when things get busy!

here’s an update on what’s been done since the last update:

i completed the sound design, edit and mix for another segment in the awesome ‘not lost in translation’ language learning series from petrol records - english to japanese. it is available now on itunes.

i completed the sound design and mix for the feature film ‘one more round’, by director roberto estrella. the film follows the story of vincent, a down and out laborer who loses everything, only to find a rebirth inside the steel octagon of professional mixed martial arts. starring award-winning actor carlos valencia and featuring world-renowned fighters royce gracie and fernando soluco. the film is due to be released by maya entertainment later this year. if you’re an MMA fan, don’t miss it!

i contributed some field recordings for an installation in tennessee.

i completed a package of cinematic sound design elements for trailers and films. robotic pulses, scary vocal rises and FX, odd rhythmic beats and more! they are available now through the wonderful catalogs at songs to your eyes.

and here’s a little taste of what to expect in the future:

i have signed on to provide the sound design and mix for the upcoming documentary on one of the most amazing people to ever walk the planet - william s burroughs. ‘william s burroughs - a man within’ follows the life and work of this icon of the beat generation. featuring interviews and anecdotes by some of his closest friends and collaborators, this is one film not to be missed. i’ll provide more updates as we get closer to the finish line!

i am working on a audio/video installation which will be on display during the milwaukee ave arts fest here in chicago. i don’t want to give anything away, so you’ll just have to come out and see/hear it for yourself :)
